Concert Photography - Antropoceno / sonhos tomam conta
Antropoceno is the currently active moniker of Brazilian musician Lua Viana. Viana, known most famously by her Brazilian shoegaze project sonhos tomam conta (dreams take over) has been a fixture of the Brazilian shoegaze scene in the early 2020s, alongside acts like Lupe de Lupe and Terraplana.
I had the immense privilige to photograph her during her performance at Cardeal Pub on 9.7.2025 in São Paulo, Brazil, where she performed her album Natureza Morta in full.
Images are a mix of conventional and experimental photography, with the latter using ICM to reference her place in the canon of Brazilian shoegaze while articulating her distinctly dreamy sound.
