Concert Photography - Be Here Now
Be Here Now is a miniseries documenting the Oasis Live ‘25 tour in Chicago, Illinois. I used the opportunity of their Chicago tour date to document the experience and atmosphere of their first American live performance in 15 years.
Oasis has only grown in relevance since their initial dissolution, allowing Live ‘25 to become a unique cultural moment from the band’s enduring popularity. Unlike any other concert I had ever been to, there was a sense of community and urgency that beckoned you to be there, now. The immediacy and energy in the Chicago atmosphere was uniquely potent, and I felt obligated to capture it.
Images were taken on a Ricoh GR, and are sequenced to form a loose timeline from beginning to end as I walked to, around and from Soldier Field.
Oh, and this isnt really meant to be a super serious series, so there’s no images from the actual performance (the fireworks from “Champagne Supernova” don’t count). Do you think I paid admission just to take street photos?
