Concert Photography - Kuyuru
Kuyuru is one of the newest and most exciting bands of the contemporary Japanese shoegaze scene. Helmed by Ayana Orito, Hiroshi Tobita, Ryuta Ueda, Rui Kawase, and Wataru Yamaguchi, their music conjures a dark and jagged soundscape awash in the static of noise.
I had the fortunate opportunity to photograph their concert on 7.9.2025 @ FLAT in Kichijoji, Tokyo, attempting to capture their balance of darkness, light, dreamlike atmospheres and angular textures through primarily experimental methods.
